With great sorrow, we announce the passing of our most loved and cherished wife, mother, sister, and daughter, Elana Waldner Allard. On January 1st, 2026, Elana left her earthly home and entered into the presence of her Saviour, Jesus.
Elana was born in Killarney, MB on July 2, 1983 to David and Kathy Waldner. She was the fourth born child in a family of five sisters and two brothers. She came into this world while Canada Day festivities were occurring and the doctor who delivered her was keen to hasten her entry as he was scheduled to be in a parade. In typical Elana fashion, her life began with a party.
Elana spent her first twenty two years in Wellwood Colony near Ninette, MB. She was a spunky child and full of joy and mischief. Her favourite pastimes were swimming in the lake and exploring the woods around her home. She loved spending time at her grandma Katie’s home and was favored amongst all her Hofer uncles and aunties.
In 2006, Elana moved to Portage la Prairie where she trained as a Home Care Aide and later earned her Business Administrative Certificate. It was during this time that Elana met Tom Allard of Newton. They fell in love and were married on Oct. 3, 2010. The young couple moved to Winnipeg where Leah was born in 2015. Tom’s work moved them to Thompson and there, their second child, Teagan was born in 2017. They returned to Portage in 2020, settling on an acreage near Oakville. Their move back home was such a blessing to everyone. Their family was completed with the birth of their beautiful, red-headed twin boys, Evan and Aiden in Sept. 2021. Elana was deeply devoted to her children, whom she cherished and was incredibly proud of. She spent the final years of her life reconnecting with her cousins and family in the area. She was also welcomed with open arms by the extended Allard and Tomlinson family and immensely enjoyed their lively family gatherings.
As she battled her illness over the last two years, the family was deeply grateful for the love, care, and unwavering support shown by their many friends and family.
Elana will be forever loved and deeply missed by her many family and friends. She leaves to mourn her absence and cherish her memory her loving husband, Tom and her children; her parents and siblings: Julia (Terry), Edna (Joseph), Joel (Karen), Christina (Cameron), Lorraine (Donnie), David (Analiese) and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Funeral Service for Elana will take place on Friday, January 9th, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Community Fellowship Church, 60007 Road 27 W, Newton, MB, with interment taking place at the Oakville Cemetery, Oakville MB immediately following the service.
